Christabel Pankhurst was an English-born social activist. Along with her sister Sylvia and her mother Emmeline, she became active in the women's suffrage movement by joining the National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies. They later formed the more radical Women's Social and Political Union. She achieved a law degree but was unable to develop a law career because of her gender.
